Street Tree Pruning
Street trees are located within the Village's right of way, typically between the curb and sidewalk (or where the sidewalk should be). An established pruning cycle has been initiated to provide regular maintenance to our street trees. Current goals are to shorten our pruning cycle to six years resulting in each street tree pruned approximately once every six years. To maximize the efficiency of our operations, request pruning outside of the scheduled cycle will try to be minimized; resident patience is appreciated until crews can get the entire community on a routine pruning program. However, if you feel your trees need to be addressed sooner please contact the Village Forester to discuss your particular situation.
Property owners who wish to have work (pruning, removal, pest management, etc.) done to street trees by a private contractor should contact the Department to complete a Tree Work Permit Application prior to having the work scheduled.
