Absentee Voting

In Person

By State Law, absentee voting in the Clerk’s Office is restricted to 14 days before an election and ends at 5 p.m. the Friday before Election Day. As a reminder, a government issued PHOTO ID is required.

By Mail

To absentee vote you can sign up for an absentee ballot through myvote.wi.gov, fill out an absentee ballot application, send us a letter, or email us with your name, address, phone number, and where you would like the absentee ballot mailed.

Please provide a government-issued PHOTO ID if not on file. Voters who meet the definition of Indefinitely Confined are not required to provide PHOTO ID. Absentee ballot requests need to be mailed or emailed. By law, we can only accept hand-delivered absentee ballot requests in the Clerk’s Office the 14 days before an election. Each person requesting an absentee ballot needs to have a separate request.
