Alcohol / Liquor Licensing

Many of the items below need to go before the Public Works and Protection Committee and Village Board. Depending on the time of submittal this could take a month or two to get approval. Please call the Clerk’s Office at 920.492.2302 to check on a timeline.

Change of Premise (whether its permanent or temporary) submit to the Clerk’s Office a letter describing what the plan is and a map showing the area.

Change of Agent

  • Appointment of Successor Agent Application
  • Auxiliary Questionnaire Alcohol Beverage License Application
  • Valid form of identification issued by a governmental agency containing a photograph of the licensee (per Village of Ashwaubenon Municipal Code)
  • A copy of ONE of the following:
    • Certification from a State approved responsible beverage server training course completed within the past two years
    • Proof that applicant has held a retail alcohol license or operator license elsewhere in the State of Wisconsin within the past two years
  • $10 fee

Operator/Bartender License

Original Alcohol Beverage License Application

  • Copy of Wisconsin Seller’s Permit (The actual Seller’s Permit not the registration)
  • Copy of Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
  • Statement of Intent
  • License application fee
  • Copy of a building layout drawing/sketch reflecting capacity, rooms, and purpose; site of building property; available parking with ingress/egress. A drawing/sketch is also required for external uses, if applicable (e.g. fenced-in patio).
  • Proof of ONE of the following:
    • Ownership of the premises to be licensed
    • Valid option to purchase the premises to be licensed
    • Valid lease for the premises to be licensed, for term of license
    • Valid option to lease the premises to be licensed, for term of license.
  • Beverage License Business Plan

No License will be issued until all overdue charges, personal property taxes, or real estate taxes are paid in full.
