Open Records Request
The Office of the Clerk is as required by law, the legal custodian of all records of the village. Records are available for inspection during regular hours of the Office of the Clerk. Written Open record requests for documents, photocopies, maps, recordings, etc., may be filled by use of an Open Record Request form as provided by the Office of the Clerk or e-mail communication. A specific request will be responded to in a reasonable time frame.
The Village shall collect from the requester actual copy costs at $.25 cents per copy, plus mailing and research costs, if applicable. Visual inspection of public records during normal office hours is at no expense; however, an appointment is preferred if the retrieval of archived documents is necessary.
