Investigations
The Investigative Unit is led by the Captain of Investigations. This position supervises three investigators, two School Resource Officers, the K9 Unit, the Evidence Technician, Drug Task Force Officer and the CSO Program.
The Investigations Unit is responsible for follow-up investigations involving both juveniles and adults. It's the Investigative Unit's responsibility to identify and interview witnesses and suspects, gather evidence, and to prepare cases for prosecution through municipal and circuit court. Investigators work closely with Brown County Human Services Child Protection Unit and with the Juvenile Court Intake Unit. Investors also serve subpoenas for the courts, process evidence, participate in the countywide task force operations and supply support to the patrol division.
The Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety Investigative Unit maintains a very professional working relationship with local law enforcement agencies along with state and federal law enforcement agencies.
